The challenge
Contractors in Egypt source building materials through phone calls, middlemen and scattered price lists. Suppliers have no simple online channel to reach companies directly, and buyers can't easily compare prices or trust who they're buying from.
What I built
- Multi-vendor marketplace: structural steel, cement and concrete, aggregates, lumber, and drywall and insulation, with each supplier running its own storefront.
- Supplier onboarding: suppliers apply online and their legal documents are reviewed before they're allowed to sell.
- Site delivery: buyers pin the exact project location on Google Maps so the supplier delivers directly to site.
- B2B checkout: cart, printable invoice for every order, pay-by-invoice option and order tracking.
- Merchandising: new arrivals, top-rated products, discounts and low-stock alerts.
- Bilingual Arabic (RTL) and English interface with dark and light themes.
- Admin and supplier dashboards for products, stock, orders and approvals.
Outcome
41+ products from 16+ suppliers across 5 categories at launch, giving contractors one place to source materials at wholesale prices.
